March 13,''I Love The FTM"

think one of my favorite things I have the opportunity of doing is meeting the new missionaries at the mission home and introducing the Florida Tallahassee Mission to them! President Smith has the AP's and us share pictures and experiences from our missions and I love telling them about the crazy southern experiences in Toxey and the things I have seen in Crestview and now here in Tallahassee. It reminded me of how much I love my mission! I love how friendly and kind people are; even if they don't want to hear what you have to say, they'll make up a phone number and tell you to come back at a certain time just to make you happy. But really I love the people here! I am so grateful for my mission and all that I have learned thus far! I am thankful that my life is full of people, faces, places, and stories; it has brought a lot of meaning to my life!
This week was a good week and we definitely have seen how the Lord has provided for us! We had many fun experiences this past week with spending a couple of hours on TCC with the TCC sisters (Tallahassee Community College), seeing Sister Stephens who came back and visited and we just ran into her on accident at the institute, and finding really amazing people!
Quote of the week:
"The only problem with running around with Mormon missionaries is you can't have any vodka."

March 6,"Exchanges On Exchanges"

This was another busy week but I am loving every minute of it! We went on four exchanges this past week and every time I felt such a great love for the sisters in this mission! We are starting to go on exchanges with not just the STL's but any companionship the STL's recommend we should go on, and it has been a blast to get to know some other sisters/ areas better!
We had two miracle first lessons this week: first with Shameka, a lady I talked to on a bench while on exchanges! We had Jennie Brown (a returning member) come along and it was so good! Jennie was so excited to be there and to testify of the church she loves so much and Shameka loved and seemed really open to it all! Then later we taught a headquarter referral named Tangelia BAKER-one of my favorite referrals and not just because we share the same great last name. She was so amazing! She said she has been looking for more light and knowledge and she believes the Book of Mormon can help her find it for herself and her family. She talked a lot about our light that she saw in us the missionaries, those that are "close with God". It struck me that both times we taught the Restoration and recited the First Vision, both of them responded "that was so powerful!" I love seeing the influence that amazing experience has on those we teach! Both of them are so much potential and I am so excited to see where they go since they both said they would be baptized once they pray and come to know for themselves the Book of Mormon was true!
Transfers are next week, good news, I am still here!
Love y'all!
